First, a word to cartoon rioters: stop. Just stop. Okay, that's up to two words but I don't care. I mean it. Knock it off. Damn! Now that's three words...
Anyway, I have a director friend, Lev Spiro, who's also a very funny e-correspondent. Thought I'd share his news and a little cartoon humor. Today he writes:
"This Friday night, starting at 8pm Pacific, Fox is airing the very last four episodes of "Arrested Development", of which mine is the first one up, called "Fakin' It". The Bluth family takes part in a mock television trial, presided over by Judge Reinholdt. The episode does not contain any images of the Prophet Muhammed. Well, just the one, but it's very tasteful and all the models are over 18. xoxo Lev L. "
I wrote back:
"Okay, Lev, but if I don't love it, I'm torching a Danish embassy..."
He replied:
"Poor Danes -- lovely pastry, great pornography, and they saved their Jews in WWII. They don't deserve this."
So, we may not be able to stop the madness in the streets yet, but you can at least do your part to support sanity by watching Lev's episode of Arrested Development! Check out Lev's credits here.
Friday night, 8pm. Unlike the cartoon riots, it's supposed to be funny.
Finally, for those of you visually oriented, one of the below is actually Lev Spiro.
Hint: Lev is not a dog.
